Ann Cannon is a teacher in the Santa Fe Public Schools and has been teaching for 22 years. She is originally from Fort Smith, Arkansas and relocated to Santa Fe in 2017. After graduating from the University of Mississippi with a BAE, she taught in grades kindergarten through sixth and Gifted Education. In 2014, she received a M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University.

Ms. Cannon has served as an administrator and assistant principal for Pre-K through sixth grades. For eight years she served as Director of Curriculum and Professional Development. Ann has been certified in both the beginning and advanced Orton-Gillingham instructional approach to multi-sensory education and provides reading and dyslexia support through AC Reading Connections in Santa Fe.

Next to literacy and reading instruction, technology and its infinite uses within the classroom has been a strong professional focus. Both the support technology offers to a variety of learning styles, as well as the boundless learning opportunities it affords our students make it an integral part of learning and professional development.
