The Flipped Classroom instructional model is turning our traditional ideas about classroom instruction upside-down in schools across the country, and research shows that students benefit from the more individualized face-time they receive with teachers during class as a result. But how can the flipped model work if your student population does not have access to digital tools and high speed internet outside of the classroom? Jennifer Gonzalez (of Cult of Pedagogy) offers a solution in “The In-Class Flip” Model. In this session, Kris Armijo shares her experiences in applying this model during a recent unit of math instruction in a 5th grade classroom.
